The exoplanets are automatically assigned to the exoplanet projects on the basis of various criteria. The assignment cannot always be guaranteed without errors (e.g. because some exoplanet discoverers are active in several projects).

The following projects are very special:<br>
- Galactic Plane eXoplanet (GPX) survey and KPS (Kourovka Planet Search) have found new exoplanets with amateur telescopes<br>
- the Planet Hunters (zoouniverse) projects have found exoplanets by the help of many amateur astronomer<br>
- I (Gerd Gühne) have joined Planet Hunters TESS (PHT) and Planet Hunters NGTS<br>
- the Visual Survey Group where also citizen scientists work on
