Transparency Information on Data Processing in Planetensuche

1. Log Files & Error Reports (Bug Reports)

During the use of Planetensuche, technical actions and system messages are logged locally in log files in the "logs" folder. This includes environment variables, operating system and module versions, as well as system and error messages.

In the event of a software error, these log files can be viewed via the integrated bug report tool. The transmission of these error reports to the author takes place purely voluntarily through active user consent (Opt-In). If you do not provide an email address, the transmission is completely anonymous.

2. Anonymous Usage Statistics & Voting

Planetensuche offers the option to participate in voting on astronomical objects and to transmit anonymous usage statistics in the background. These statistics help identify popular features and focus further development.

All transmitted data is free of personal characteristics and does not allow any conclusions about your identity. These functions can be deactivated by you at any time in the program settings.

3. User Rights

You have full control at all times over whether error reports or usage statistics are transmitted. No personal data is collected or processed without your explicit consent.
